"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light…"

Hello, hello!

My name is Zia-ur-Rehman Ansari (AKA Mr. Ansari), and I am an educator.

I was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, but immigrated to the United States in 1999. We moved to Orlando and have stayed ever since.

I am a proud alum of Orange County Public Schools (High School Diploma), Valencia Community College (Associate in Arts), University of Central Florida (Bachelor of Science in Psychology), and Capella University (Master of Science in Educational Leadership).

After graduation, I forged a career in higher education as an administrator, instructor, and trainer. I have worked at Valencia College, Florida Literacy Coalition, Florida College of Integrative Medicine, Pakistan Education Foundation, Measurement Incorporated, Education First, Inlingua, and OHLA.

In 2015, I received a wonderful opportunity to return to Pakistan and serve at Habib University for three years. Following my stint in Pakistan, I returned to the United States and transitioned into secondary education.

After working for three years with Seminole County Public Schools, I moved to Orange County Public Schools, where I currently work at an alternative education Transition Centre. I have taught English II and IV (support facilitated, standard, honors, and gifted), Critical Thinking, Career Research, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and Economics.

I am passionate about helping others wherever I can. I have been producing helpful tools and content aimed at helping people improve their happiness, promote a positive mindset, and achieve their goals. Recently, I decided to share those tools, my implementation methods, and the process on my website.

In March 2023, I published my first WorkJourBook (a workbook, journal, and book 3-in-1 combo). The WorkJourBook offers an in-depth exploration of how the power of positive thinking can lead to happiness at work and provides readers with unique and helpful exercises specifically designed to improve overall well-being.

Today, I still live in Orlando, Florida, and I am a proud pet parent to my pet rock, Pookie, and pet guardian to three lovely cats - Bella, Simba, and Milo. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going to theme parks, traveling, watching Bollywood movies, all things Harry Potter, and trying out new restaurants. I have also dedicated some of my time to serving on various boards and committees, including the Valencia College Alumni Board, A Gift For Teaching Teacher Advisory Council, and various institutional committees.

As for the future, I would like to travel more, see as much of the world as possible, continue to write, inspire others, and positively impact their lives.
